Airline General Sales & Marketing
LLydos acts as a General Sales Agent (GSA) for various airlines and is responsible for sales in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As the official representative in these markets, Lydos manages interline agreements, special pro rata agreements, and all regulatory requirements in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Authority.
To strengthen the airlines' presence, Lydos implements targeted sales and marketing measures and promotes brand building through cooperation with the trade press and digital media. In addition, Lydos supports the airlines' revenue management, coordinates fare distribution, and negotiates contracts with tour operators and online travel agencies (OTAs). Lydos organizes roadshows and fam trips to further expand connections with partners and customers.
When airlines enter new markets, they often rely on an experienced GSA such as Lydos, which has local expertise and existing networks. This enables the airline to save on the costs of its own office and staff, while a qualified team on site takes care of all operational tasks.
GSAs play an essential role in the aviation industry. Their tasks include operating an office equipped to international standards, employing well-trained staff, and paying all applicable taxes and ongoing operating costs. In this sense, the GSA handles all business processes on behalf of the airline.
